A Celebration of Culture, Community, and Creativity
This self-managed artistic and sociocultural festival in Mendihuaca is a vibrant, inclusive event for all ages. With three successful editions already under its belt, the festival thrives on the strong support of the local community.
The Encuentro Social de Circo y Artes Callejeras (Social Meeting of Circus and Street Arts) is a highly anticipated event, drawing artists from around the world. We’re celebrated for our diversity, which truly enriches the project. The festival welcomes a broad spectrum of talent, including performing artists, jugglers, musicians, artisans, dancers, muralists, and filmmakers, providing a dynamic space for all kinds of performances and expressions.
Empowering Lives Through Art and Joy
A heartwarming highlight is the active participation of Mendihuaca’s children, who engage in workshops and proudly showcase their newfound skills through performances, guided by our dedicated volunteers. Beyond the artistic magic, the festival also generates employment and entrepreneurial opportunities for local residents, fostering economic growth within the community.
For three exhilarating days, attendees can immerse themselves in a rich program featuring hands-on workshops, dazzling galas, thrilling circus Olympics, live music, relaxing yoga sessions, and many surprises. Camping is available in a truly unique natural setting, nestled near the stunning Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, emphasizing a strong social and ecological focus. Importantly, all funds raised from the festival go directly to the Guajira Mission, serving as a vital source of financing for our ongoing projects.
